Tegoroczna gala przyznania nagród BET Hip Hop Awards odbyła się 6 października w Miami. Wszystkich zwycięzców BET Hip Hop Awards 2017 poznaliśmy jednak dopiero zeszłej nocy, kiedy to na antenie stacji Black Entertainment Television retransmitowano mające miejsce w The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater wydarzenie.
I zaznaczmy od razu, Cardi B i Kendrick Lamar zmietli wszystko i wszystkich! Autorce hitu „Bodak Yellow” oprócz nagrody za ten właśnie numer (Singiel Roku) przyznano jeszcze nagrody w 4. innych kategoriach. O jedną mniej statuetek zgarnął K.Dot, którego uznano za najlepszego autora tekstów, a jego album „DAMN.” za album roku.
